Aurora Borealis – January 1, 2014

You couldn’t ask for much more; we had a phenomenal (if not short) northern lights display on the first night of the year 2014. I took the dog out for a snowshoe walk for a few miles to take some pictures. It turned out he really didn’t want to wait around for me to take pictures, so we packed it in early and walked home. Hopefully we’ll have many more similar nights this year.

I took the dog for a walk to watch the aurora borealis. He got upset with me while I was taking pictures and making a timelapse because he doesn't like to sit still while we are outside. We eventually had to go home. It was a nice display though!

A strong pink ribbon appeared on the lower edge for a while. Stunningly gorgeous northern lights.

My dog impatiently waiting for me to finish my aurora timelapse. With his booties.
yeeaaaah . . . are we going to keep walking, or what?

I did manage to get a quick timelapse.
