Sunday was just another one of ‘those’ days on Murphy Dome.

The 80 degree temperatures have finally gone away and the forecast mentioned it would be “struggling to reach 60” this week. Kate really wanted to go pick blueberries before they were past their prime to make jam so we went to Murphy Dome, where apparently everyone in Fairbanks goes to pick blueberries. Luckily the area is open enough that it’s never too crowded, except maybe on the main trail that seemed a bit like a dog park at times. The weather and scenery were perfect!

The blueberries will soon be past their prime, the cranberries are waiting for the first frost.
