Photo of the week — “Aurora before the clouds”

Posted by lwpetersen | December 14, 2014 | aurora borealis, photo of the week, photo-blog
A bit of aurora shortly before the clouds rolled in - trees illuminated by the moon.

It seems like every night the clouds roll in fast, no matter how nice of a day it may have been. I still managed to catch some brief glimpses of the aurora before the clouds filled the sky. We had some strong winds in the middle of the week that managed to knock much of that beautiful snow off of the tree branches – it would be nice if we had another snowfall!
